Dont waste your money on this crappy app. Sure, it offers features you cant access on the original app but at least the original app loads. They cant even update the app. Checks must not be big enough. Have a good day.

This is *by far* the most unreliable app Ive ever used. It crashes multiple times per day and messages dont go through on a regular basis. Its also poorly designed so chat conversations dont transfer from one device to another. Start a chat on your phone and it wont show up on your tablet and vice versa. Its unfathomable that Silicon Valley geniuses at Grindr cant develop a product that work. Its clear to me that this company is unscrupulously preying upon gay men who want sex without providing a product that works.

Only works on cellular, will not connect via wifi.

Not worth the money so dont waste it...fake profiles, chat doesnt work most of the time, and very disappointing. Never again will they get my business. There are many better sites available so waste your time.

All of it goes to line the pockets of the greedy inventor who hasnt put one cent into this app except to pay some stooge to reboot servers to try to keep the piece of $&@# running. There are alternatives these days. Everyone should switch over all at once and put this a**hole out of business

Im not going to regurgitate every factual complaint articulated in ever other review. This App barely functions and the extra "features" you pay for are almost always non-functional. But the worst trend now is the company behind this App doesnt care. Period. They dont stand behind any minimum service guarantees even when the core feature (chatting) fails for days on end. Ive paid for GrindrX for years. And this is my last renewal. This company wont even extend a paid membership to compensate for regular App failures. They simply cite TOS that state they dont give refunds. Now they wont even extend a membership with more time. They must be really hurting financially. I will now simply dispute me membership with my credit card company and I will take someone elses recommendation and file a complaint with the state Attorney General. This company doesnt deserve anyones loyalty; they give none. I sincerely hope they are ground into the dirt by more competent competitors.

This app... Along with being buggy and unreliable... Is filled with bad experiences just waiting to happen. I shant get into that but... My advice to you... Seek more savory relationships than the ones youll find on here.

Update: do not, do not, do NOT pay for a subscription. I recently decided to give this s*** show another try. Big mistake. Every day--- literally EVERY day for the past couple of weeks there is a pop up from Grindr saying "sorry, some of you are having issues sending and receiving messages." People have been having to send screen shots to prove theyve been replying to messages. As a social media app you have one crucial job-- thats to make sure people can communicate! And youve never gotten it right! Pathetic! By far the slowest app on my phone. A few months ago there was a "glitch" that unblocked all the guys I had gone through all the trouble to block over a long, long time. I suspect it was a deliberate and failed attempt by Grindr to make the app run faster.

You are on the go, you just agreed to meet someone at certain time but didnt get some details... And you send a message. Time passed you are disappointed then you get a notification from Grindr "some" members are having chat issues... Fix the chat!

Paying for an ad-free experience with unlimited blocks would be worth it -- if Grindr Xtra actually worked. Over the last few months there have been too many engineering related down moments to make this worth it. Save your money and go to scruff.

First, you get cannot connect to xtra store half the time. It takes hours to have a picture reviewed. Two times it took a full day! Several users tell me my profile is blank when Ive had a picture for weeks. Too many bugs! Now I cant block! The blocked ones reappear. Messages are delayed for days. Now the subscription is too expensive and not worthy it!

Its gotten to the point that Grindr Xtra is no longer worth the money. Riddled with bugs, the messenger function is notoriously unreliable, admin cant control the fake bot produced profiles, and they never add new functions. Go for Scruff which is infinitely better.

I was subscribed to this but, lately, the app has not been functioning due to technicalities with the Grindr team. Theres plenty of fake profiles to look through. Recently my account was suspended for no reason at all ! This has ultimately caused me to not subscribe any longer. No courtesy email to give you a heads up of any information needed but, instead, they just suspend your account. This app is a joke.
